Troubleshooting Office 2013 Install - Error Code 0-1018 Stuck at 90%

If you're experiencing the error code 0-1018 during your Office 2013 setup and it halts at 90%, here's how to fix it:

  1. Verify internet connection: Ensure your internet is reliable and fast. A poor connection can disrupt the installation.
  2. Turn off antivirus temporarily: Antivirus programs can occasionally block the install process. Disable yours briefly to see if the installation proceeds.
  3. Delete temp files: Freeing up system space by deleting temporary files can eliminate installation conflicts. Open the Temp folder by typing %temp% in the Start menu search bar, then delete everything inside.
  4. Execute Office repair: If stuck at 90%, initiate the Office repair tool. Navigate to Control Panel > Programs and Features, select Microsoft Office 2013, choose Change, then click Repair and follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. Run Office installation troubleshooter: Microsoft's troubleshooter can identify and resolve install problems. Download and run it from Microsoft's support site to tackle error 0-1018.
  6. Reinstall Office: As a last resort, uninstall Microsoft Office 2013 via Control Panel > Programs and Features, then reinstall it by downloading the latest setup from the Microsoft website.
