How to Set Up Windows Server 2019
After crafting a bootable USB stick, adhere to these steps to execute a clean setup:
- Power on your server so that Windows begins normally; insert the Windows Server USB, then restart the server.
- Your device will boot from the Windows Server USB stick. Press any key when the prompt Press any key to boot from CD or DVD appears.
- Restart your PC and, when the manufacturer's logo appears, look for the boot menu key, typically F2, F10, F11, F12, or Del, to open the menu.
- Modify the boot sequence to USB.
- Once in the setup program, select your language, time format, currency, and keyboard or input method, and click Next.
- Then, click Install now to commence the process.
- Next, input the product key and click Next.
- In the following box, choose the edition (Desktop Experience) and click Next.
- Next, accept the terms and conditions and click Next.
- In the subsequent step, click Custom: Install Windows only (advanced).
- In the next box, choose the disk drive where you wish to install Windows Server and click Next.
- The Windows Server installation will commence. This will take several minutes.
- Next, input a password that is simple to remember and click Finish.
- Then press the Ctrl+Alt+Del keys and input the password you initially set. Your Windows Server desktop will appear.
Note: If the Windows Server installation does not begin after restarting your PC, you will need to alter the boot sequence in your PC's BIOS settings to boot from the USB.
Note: We recommend removing all partitions on the hard drive for proper operation of Windows Server. If your hard drive is new, just click next.
