Guide to Installing New Language Packs on Windows 8

Before switching the language in Windows 8, you need to install the desired language pack as follows:

1. Move the mouse pointer to the bottom right corner and select the Settings option.

2. Then, click on Control Panel.

3. Navigate to the Clock, Language, and Region section and click on Add a language.

4. Click on Add a language:

5. Pick the language and click on Open.
Note: If the language you need has variants, select and click Open. Then, choose your preferred variant.

6. On the right side of the language, click on Options.

7. Click on Download language pack.

8. The Windows 8 language pack will begin downloading and installing.

9. After downloading and installing, repeat step six and click on Options.

10. Then click Make this the primary language. Sign out, and you will have the language you chose.
